Thorhildur Elisabet Thorsdottir graduated with a MA/MSc in International & World History from Columbia University and the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2024, where she specialized in the interwar international order. Her dissertation focused on minority protection in interwar Central Europe, examining the nexus of international law, citizenship, and minority advocacy.
Previously she obtained a B.A. in History from the University of Iceland in 2022, where her undergraduate thesis focused on Icelandic nation-branding during the 1986 Reykjavík summit and examined how Icelandic national identity was influenced by neoliberalism in the 1980s more broadly.
Currently, Thorhildur works for the UNFPA in Uganda as a programme analyst specializing in population and development, but maintains an academic interest in international law and organizations.
