Linden Standish graduated in 2025 from the University of Washington with a degree in History and concentration in War and Society. Her interest in conflict comes from her curiosities surrounding the relationship between policy and the will of the people, foreign affairs and the tensions that snap and strengthen during turmoil, and hierarchies of power.

Her particular interest in international policy and diplomacy has led to research goals surrounding the intricate political web of the Cold War. Hoping to gain perspective and knowledge on an international scale, she intends to focus both on diplomatic relations and the social reactions which define culture. Her primary regions of interest are the United States and the Eastern Bloc.

After graduating from Columbia and LSE, Linden hopes to pursue a career in foreign affairs research with the goal of incorporating historical and cultural understanding into consequential policies
