Kimberly Waters graduated from Dartmouth College in June 2011 with a B.A. in Intellectual and Cultural History, with Honors. She wrote her senior thesis on the media's role in the Destruction of Black Wall Street in the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. She interned with Citigroup, TeachforAmerica, Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) and the Department of State. She received the James B. Reynolds Merit Scholarship to complete her final year at LSE.  Kimberly wrote her MA thesis on the history of the transport of affirmative action from the United States to Brazil during the mid/late 20th century. Her interests generally include 20th century American and Latin American history, specifically dealing with race, social class, education and policy. Thus far, she speaks elementary French and intermediate Portuguese.
