Kara grew up in New York City and graduated from Haverford College in 2013 with her BA (Honors) in History and minor in Spanish. While at Haverford, Kara was captain of the Haverford College women's soccer team and ran on the track team. After the Dual MA/MSc, Kara completed her PGCE at University College London and is now a history teacher and soccer coach at a school in London.
