I recently graduated from LSE with a BSc in International Relations and History.

My research interests lie primarily in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Laos and post-war reconstruction. I interned there for the British Embassy in the summer of 2017 and have since spent much of my time focusing on the issues of development, international aid and NGOs. Specifically, I have focused on the issue of unexploded ordnance (UXO) which continues to maim and kill Lao people over 40 years after the end of the American Secret War in Laos. This concern for justice and acknowledgment of the aftermath of war in Laos have led to my thesis for the MA.

Another area of interest geographically is Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly the legacies of slavery and the interlinked roles of race, gender and class in the post-emancipation period.

When I am not studying, I am out running. Over the last two years I have raised money for UNICEF running the NYC and Berlin Marathons.
