Research Interest

Jude graduated from the University of Toronto in 2025 with a dual-major in Middle Eastern Studies and the History & Philosophy of Science. He has been a Jackman Humanities Institute Undergraduate Fellow, a Reach Alliance researcher, and an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Institute for the History & Philosophy of Science & Technology (IHPST). He also served as an editorial assistant for the IHPST's resident academic journal, Spontaneous Generations. Over the past several years, Jude has spent time in eastern Turkey, Armenia, and Georgia, and his research has focused on issues surrounding nation- and identity-making in the borderlands of the northern Middle East on the eve of the Ottoman Empire's collapse. As a master’s student, he hopes to expand his conceptual and linguistic horizons in order to pursue these themes in greater depth.
