I graduated from DePaul University in 2015 with a BA in both Political Science & Arabic Studies. During my time as an undergrad, my studies were primarily concentrated on the intersection between U.S. Foreign Policy and Modern Middle Eastern Politics, with particular emphasis on the “War on Terror”. Since graduating, I have spent the last three years as an English teacher in South Korea, where I taught elementary and middle school students in both the private and public school systems. My love of teaching has led me back to school, where I seek to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a future career of teaching History and International Relations.

My current research interests revolve around Ottoman involvement in WWI and the subsequent collapse of the empire, focusing on how that collapse helped to set the political stage for 20th century conflicts in the region.
