Dissertation

Jackie Wang is a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) before pursuing dual Master’s degrees in International and World History at Columbia University and the London School of Economics (LSE). She earned a PhD in History from the University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on women and business in modern China. She achieved a dissertation with distinction through rigorous academic scholarship and has published a journal article in Enterprise and Society on the Shanghai Women’s Bank. Jackie has worked at UN Women in private sector partnerships where she engaged companies, foundations, and individuals in partnering with UN Women to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. She is also a polo enthusiast, co-founding 1003 POLO and promoting Chinese polo and culture.
