Donata holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Heidelberg, where she focused on Jewish history and remembrance culture during the Crusades. She spent a year studying in Paris, broadening her understanding of European culture and politics.
In 2016, she joined the World Economic Forum in Geneva as a regional specialist, overseeing the Balkan and Baltic regions and their participation in WEF initiatives. After completing her master’s degree and spending three years at a consultancy for transformation and digitalization in Berlin, she joined BBUG in 2025, a German non-profit and one of the country’s most established cross-sector leadership networks. BBUG brings together senior leaders from business, academia, politics, and civil society to reflect, question, and explore new ways of thinking about leadership and societal responsibility.
At Columbia and LSE, Donata explored European history and diplomacy with a particular focus on Southeast Europe.
