I graduated with High Honors from the University of Michigan in 2016, majoring in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. My senior thesis focused on the unintended consequences of efforts to reduce sweatshop labor in developing nations around the globe. This research sparked an interest in the development of emerging markets and how histories of colonialism, imperialism and revolution shaped their various outcomes. I plan to continue delving into the social, political and economic consequences of colonialism and other forms of imperialism at Columbia and LSE.

After graduating college, I worked as a legal recruiter for a boutique placement agency in NYC. Having decided to pivot my career and pursue my true passion, I am excited to return to school with the ultimate goal of teaching History to high school students.
