Anna Misra

Dissertation

Anna is a former secondary teacher and forever history enthusiast. Her academic interests lie predominantly in colonial and postcolonial social history. Her master’s research examined the development of Indian Christian social identity in northern India and these communities’ engagement with nationalist ideals through church politics.

Anna has donned many hats through her career journey: community events organizer, library assistant, high school history teacher, academic research assistant, copy editor, educational technology trainer, and audio visual technician. She has recently earned her CTS (certified technology specialist) accreditation and works at King’s College London filming live events and maintaining classroom AV systems.

Anna has three master’s degrees and zero plans to pursue more. She enjoys reading, baking, embroidery, mudlarking, and leaving work at 4pm sharp. Anna’s beloved bearded dragon, Daenerys, now lives in London with her.
