Originally from Hyderabad, India, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in History and Public Policy. While there, I founded Monsoon, a magazine and platform dedicated to the affairs of South Asia and South Asian diaspora. I also had the opportunity to co-teach a class, "The Karma of Brown Folk: Negotiating the Hyphen" which focused on the histories of South Asians in the United States.

My scholarly interests generally revolve around marginalized communities such as the Siddis, Adivasis, and Dalits. During my time at Columbia and the LSE, I hope to sharpen my understanding of caste, nationalism, and revolution.
