Amanda’s research interests include: human rights, education, global social movements, apartheid, transnational humanitarian organizations, communications history, institutional history, and urban history.  She has worked in government affairs and education as a legislative strategy and policy research fellow, a curriculum specialist, and a literacy teacher.  Amanda has a M.Sc. in Education from Fordham University and a B.A. from Dartmouth College in Classical Studies and International Studies. Amanda is from Chicago, Illinois.
