Dissertation

Carolyn Lamboley received a BA in history and politics from McGill University in Montreal in 2011. At Columbia and the LSE, she wrote her dissertation on a Tunisian religious reformer who traveled to Cairo at the end of the 19th Century. In addition, she looked at al-Azhar University as a microcosm of European imperial rivalry, where French and Italian authorities competed for influence under the nose of the British.
