Dissertation

I graduated from NYU Abu Dhabi, where I complemented my studies in the UAE with semesters abroad in Spain and Morocco. For my capstone thesis, I wrote a literary analysis of the narrative temporalities in immigrant literature that originates from the West Bengal state in India. While living in the Middle East, I worked for Al Jazeera English, writing longform analyses of regional political developments, and CNN, where I worked at the channel's Abu Dhabi bureau as an Assistant Producer. I recently finished a year as a Fulbright researcher in Morocco, where I carried out a nine month-long project on the state’s influence on the representation of women in public television. My interests include the impact of globalization on local media systems and theories and ideas of world literature.
