I was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and graduated from Torcuato Di Tella University with a bachelor’s degree in History and a double minor in Political Science and International Studies. My academic interests focus on the Latin American dictatorships of the 1970s, especially their use of culture as a mechanism of power.
My undergraduate thesis stems from this topic of interest and explores in comparative perspective the books published by the official publishing houses of the last Argentine military dictatorship and Pinochet’s government in Chile.
During my undergraduate degree I worked as a research assistant, gaining valuable knowledge in archival work and editing books for publishing. After graduating I was also a teaching assistant for an undergraduate history course at Torcuato Di Tella University.
At Columbia and LSE I aim to continue analyzing the cultural projects of the Latin American dictatorships and their mechanisms of constructing power.
