Dissertation

Victoria graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2006 with a BA in History and Journalism. Prior to entering the Columbia University / London School of Economics dual degree program, she worked in marketing for two years and taught English in France. Her dissertation focused on the relationship between leprosy prevention policies and racial attitudes in Indochina at the turn of the century. She conducted archival research at the Archives Nationales d'Outre-Mer in Aix-en-Provence, France as well as the National Archives of Cambodia. Victoria graduated with distinction from the program and is now working for Facing History, a nonprofit dedicated to raising genocide and persecution awareness in schools across the US and the UK.
