Shreya graduated from NYU in 2019 as a University Honors Scholar with a BA in Political Science. She focused primarily on political philosophy, with an emphasis on the themes of ancient to early modern empires, and global ideologies of war, peace and humanism from the late medieval era until the Enlightenment. She also served as Vice President of NYU’s Model United Nations club, and interned at both the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations as well as the Eurasia Group.
At Columbia and the LSE, her research interests are centered in early modern Europe. They include religious Reformations, the political and spiritual headship of the monarch, sixteenth century conceptions of empire, and early modern statehood.
