Sara Cosemans (PhD) completed the Dual Degree program in 2014. She briefly worked in education before returning to her original alma mater, KU Leuven in Belgium, where she first worked as a teaching assistant and later obtained her PhD (‘The Internationalization of the Refugee Problem.’ Refugee Resettlement from the Global South during the 1970s. KU Leuven, 2021). In 2022, she started lecturing as a Guest Professor in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Hasselt. Her main appointment, however, remains at KU Leuven where she works as a postdoctoral researcher on a book project titled ‘Our most fundamental and Oldest Liberty.’ A Global history of Freedom of Movement, 1948-1977, which is funded by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO).
