Sara Cosemans is a PhD Candidate at KU Leuven, where she obtained a MA in History in 2011. Her dissertation on Sikh migration received the Gülen Chair for Intercultural Studies Award in 2012 and was published in the same year. Sara graduated from the Dual Degree program in 2014, with a dissertation on postcolonial migration within the former British empire. Upon graduation, she was offered a job as a high school teacher for a year, especially focusing on the education of pupils with migration background.
