Sam Marlowe graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University in 2016. He double-majored in Politics and Near Eastern & Judaic Studies. During his senior year, he wrote a thesis that explored the origins of anti-Semitism.
For the past two years, Sam worked as a math instructor for Blue Engine, an organization that works to combat education inequality in New York City. He taught algebra at a public high school in the Bronx.
As a Masters candidate, Sam is excited to study Middle Eastern history. He is particularly interested in the European colonization of the region, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the development of Zionism.
In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball and reading in Central Park.
