Nicholas Hall

Nicholas Hall graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011 with a B.A. in Latin American Studies and minors in Spanish and Portuguese, with honors. After spending a year of his childhood living in the Andés of rural Chile, he developed a strong interest in the Spanish language and Latin America. At the University of Texas at Austin, Nicholas conducted research and documented activity in Rio de Janeiro's favelas alongside Brazilian journalists.

Following graduation, Nicholas spent three years as a Teach For American corps member. He was placed in one of Florida's historically lowest performing elementary schools.

In the Dual MA/MSc, Nicholas researched liberated African slaves in Brazil's northeastern region during the nineteenth century. He is fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese and has a working knowledge of French.
