Research Interest

I graduated from Pomona College in California in 2020 with dual majors in Asian Studies and History. During college, I studied intellectual history, specializing in Confucianism and Jewish philosophy. My two theses were on Contemporary Liberal Confucianism and Resistance among Jewish Refugees in WWII Shanghai. After college, I taught middle and high school history in Hainan, China for two years.

At Columbia and LSE, while continuing my studies on intellectual history, I also intend to broaden my academic interests, exploring the intersections of state ideology, consumption of propaganda and education.

In my free time, I like to go to concerts, visit galleries and play tennis!
