Louise graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a BA in Plan II Honors focusing her studies on human rights and economic development in the Middle East and Latin America. After graduating, she spent the next three years teaching, studying and doing volunteer work in North Africa, the Middle East and China. In the gaps between these travels Louise lived in Austin where she worked as a research assistant at UT and taught at an after-school program. Louise focused her studies at Columbia and LSE on the economic history of the developing world and wrote her dissertation on the labor movement in Argentina. Louise currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her husband Matt and teaches AP and Pre-AP World History at Trinity Valley School.
