A New Jersey native, Lauren graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University. In college, she studied several languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, German and Catalan, and spent semesters abroad in Berlin, Germany and Barcelona, Spain. After graduating, Lauren taught English in Granada, Spain, before moving to New York City where she worked as a bilingual paralegal on toxic tort cases in Latin America and later transitioned to the entertainment industry.
At Columbia, Lauren discovered her passion for technology history while pursuing her dual degree, writing her thesis on Brazil's overlooked contributions to WWI telecommunications infrastructure. This intersection of international history and technology shaped her career trajectory—she now manages global infrastructure partnerships at nCino, a leading banking software company. The global perspective she cultivated through her studies at Columbia and the LSE proved invaluable when nCino sent her to Australia for a year to expand their international operations. Her multilingual background and interdisciplinary studies continue to inform her work bridging technical innovation and global business strategy.
