Krzysztof Kosmicki's research interests include intellectual and Latin American history, and his dissertation focused on the British occupation of Havana in 1762. He was a co-founder and founding teacher of Rise Academy, a KIPP middle school in Newark, New Jersey, and taught 4th grade with Teach For America in the South Bronx. He received an M.S. in teaching from Pace University, and a B.A. in International Political Economy from Puget Sound.
