Katharine graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2018 with degrees in History Honors, Plan II Honors, and Arabic. Her undergraduate thesis, "Revolutionary Fervor: This History and Legacy of Communism in Abd al-Karim Qasim's Iraq, 1958-1963," overseen by Dr. Wm Roger Louis, won the Claudio Segre Honors Thesis Prize for Excellence in the Study of History. While at UT, Katharine was a Normandy Scholar, a Churchill Scholar, and President of the Plan II Honors Association.
Katharine's research focuses on decolonization and modern revolutionary movements in the Middle East. She is currently a second year PhD student at the University of Oxford.
