Jeana Evans

Dissertation

Jeana graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA in Liberal Arts. Prior to joining the dual degree program, she worked in book publishing, specializing in translation rights for American books abroad. While at Columbia and LSE, Jeana’s dissertation concentrated on gender and cultural history during the Olympics of the Interwar Period. She is grateful for the dual degree program’s support for her research, allowing her to visit the LA84 Archive in Los Angeles and the Olympic Archives at Lausanne, as well as the opportunity to intern as an archivist at Columbia’s Rare Book & Manuscript Library during her final summer in New York. Following graduation, Jeana spent five years managing postgraduate-level exchanges at the US-UK Fulbright Commission in London. She moved to Luxembourg in 2018, where she works as a Public Affairs Assistant with the U.S. Embassy while raising her toddler son.
