Jackie Burns is a New Jersey political operative and communications expert with experience in federal, state, and local campaigns. No stranger to tough races, Burns helped lead Mikie Sherrill to victory in 2018 by taking down a 12-term Republican incumbent in what would become the largest partisan vote share swing that cycle. She continued serving Congresswoman Sherrill both on the campaign and in the official office, most recently serving as Campaign Manager for her 2022 reelection, delivering a 19-point victory in a competitive district. In 2021, Jackie joined New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s reelect as Deputy Campaign Manager, overseeing an expansive portfolio, including the communications, research, and digital departments. She helped lead the Governor to victory, the first time in over 40 years a Democratic Governor has won reelection in New Jersey. Prior to political campaigns, Jackie spent five years on Capitol Hill at the Office of the Historian for the U.S. House of Representatives. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in international affairs and history from George Washington University and wrote her thesis on Venetian diplomacy during the English Reformation, for which she received special honors in history. During her time at Columbia and LSE, Jackie focused on Anglo-American relations during World War II. Jackie continues to lend her political expertise to campaigns as the founder of JAB Strategies LLC.
