Igor Czernecki received his BA at New York University in Comparative Literature and Art History. At Columbia and the LSE he worked on U.S. Cultural Diplomacy across the Iron Curtain, writing his MA thesis on the Ford Foundation scholarship program in Poland in the 1950’s and ‘60s. Igor is now a second year doctoral student at the History of Social Thought Institute at Warsaw University’s Sociology Department. After returning to Poland he worked in the Ministry of Culture for a year promoting contemporary Polish art abroad. He is also involved in charity, devoting time to EFC (www.efc.edu.pl), a foundation that helps talented middle school children from very poor homes get a good education. Igor is also teaching a masters course on American conservative thought at Warsaw University.
