Igor Czernecki is an Intellectual Historian and director of the Roman Czernecki Educational Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to enhancing public spiritedness in East-Central Europe. Igor received his BA at New York University in Comparative Literature and Art History before coming to Columbia University. During his Dual Degree program he worked on U.S. Cultural Diplomacy across the Iron Curtain, writing his MA thesis on the Ford Foundation’s activities in postwar Poland. He then went on to do a PhD in the History of Social Thought Institute at Warsaw University, where he focused 19th century French Political Theory. Igor has published in the Cold War History Journal and the Tocqueville Review, he is also the author of a book on Alexis de Tocqueville. He splits his time between three cities, teaching at universities in London, Paris and Warsaw.
