Originally from Munich, Germany and raised in northern Virginia, I attended Erasmus University College, the honors college of Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Majoring in Political Philosophy & Critical Theory and minoring in African Studies, I developed a strong foundation in interdisciplinary analysis and collaborative learning.

My undergraduate thesis titled Identity Politics since the Combahee River Collective: Challenges of the Neoliberal Context focused on the evolution of identity politics in the US, tracing its roots to the Combahee River Collective’s pioneering work in the 1970s and examining how neoliberalism has shaped and hindered the transformative potential of such movements in the decades since. I explored the commodification of identity under neoliberalism and the implications for collective action toward social change.

During my time at Columbia and LSE, I hope to dive deeper into concepts surrounding decoloniality/postcolonialism and settler-native relations, and to gain a new approach when researching and conducting historical analyses and applying theoretical knowledge.

In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, baking, museum visits, and watching movies. I also have a passion for travel, having been to 31 countries so far!
