With the support of the Alliance Fellowship and her advisors at Columbia/LSE, Chloe conducted archival research at the Museum am Rothenbaum — Kulturen und Künste der Welt (MARKK) and the Staatsarchiv in Hamburg, Germany, as well as the Horniman Museum in London, England, which culminated into her dissertation about interwar intellectual and cultural exchanges between Weimar Germany and Republican China. Prior to the Dual Degree, Chloe studied mathematics and history at the University of Chicago. Currently she is a PhD student specializing in modern Europe/China at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research remains committed to understanding the transnational intellectual milieu in the interwar years, as well as contemporary German/Chinese memory culture.
