As a student at the University of Colorado at Boulder, Bree earned a B.A. in the interrelated fields of English, history, international affairs, and education. During her undergraduate career, Bree studied at institutions in five different countries, including the University of Nicosia, Cambridge University, and La Universidad de Granada. Upon graduation, Bree entered the field of education and taught humanities at an international school in Venezuela. Her research interests include British imperialism and decolonization.
