Andrea Rosengarten is a member of the CU-LSE Dual Degree Program class of 2014. 

In 2022 she will complete her PhD in the History Department at Northwestern University as a Mellon-ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellow. 

She is grateful to the CU-LSE Program for launching her interest and research experience in Namibian and South African history. In 2014 she was awarded the program’s Richard Hofstadter Dissertation Prize. Andrea has since won a variety of external research fellowships for doctoral dissertation work in Southern Africa, including the Fulbright-Hays DDRA Fellowship and the CLIR-Mellon Fellowship for Dissertation Research in Original Sources. While based in Windhoek for research she also designed and taught a History Research Methodology seminar for senior thesis students at the University of Namibia, where she maintains ongoing collaborations with mentors and colleagues.
