I was born in Australia and grew up between China and the United States. Surrounded by similar “third-culture kids" and exposed to cross-cultural perspectives from a young age, I developed an interest in history from my desire to understand the cultures of those around me. I graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in History and Economics in 2022.
During my undergraduate studies, I sought to combine my intersectional interests in history, policy, and economics. At Columbia and LSE, I hope to focus my research on modern US-China relations, particularly on the role of the economy and how the interaction between markets, policy, politics, and culture have shaped this history.
