Research Interest

Ryan Singsank graduated from The George Washington University in 2022, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Affairs. Ryan’s senior honors thesis explored how the United States responded to the threat and ultimate implementation of a Soviet-led boycott of the 1984 Olympic Games. While at GW, Ryan also was an undergraduate research fellow with the GW Institute for Korean Studies and spent time in France participating in a staff ride of the Normandy Campaign of 1944.

Ryan is especially interested in the history of US foreign policy throughout the 20th century, with a particular emphasis on the Cold War period. At Columbia and LSE, Ryan intends to continually explore these areas in his research.

During his free time, Ryan enjoys taking long walks, playing golf, watching baseball, and eating dessert.
