Navin is a graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Brooklyn College with dual degrees in Chemistry and History. While devoting much of his time to both scientific and historical research, he published multiple peer-reviewed works in the field of biochemistry, while receiving international recognition for his skills as a parliamentary debater. Navin's senior honors thesis evaluated the Cambodian Gencoide and the role of religion and the arts in the process of reconciliation. His thesis was based on his research collected through months of interviewing survivors, perpetrators and municipal leaders.
At Columbia and LSE, Navin would like to study his other academic interests including Asian and Middle Eastern political history as well as European colonial history.
