Research Interest

Originally from Germany, I graduated from the LSE in 2023 with a degree in International Relations and History. During my studies, I focused on critical IR theories such as feminism and post-colonialism, as well as exploring histories of settler colonialism, gender, and race in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. As Managing Editor of LSE’s The Webster Review of International History, I helped oversee the publication and peer review processes of several fascinating articles authored by the university’s history community.

My undergraduate dissertation centered on how the policing of Indigenous gender and sexuality practices helped consolidate American political and cultural control over Native nations. At Columbia and LSE, I hope to both continue investigating Indigenous-US relations and to deepen my grasp of historical gender subversion and its impact on political struggle.

Following my studies, I aim to pursue a career in journalism by drawing on the skills and perspectives derived through this historical research.
