Kristen received her BA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where she studied International Business. At UNC, Kristen received a Boeing Scholarship to fund her research on infrastructure development in China at the Kenan Institute Center for Air Commerce. After working in the private sector, Kristen entered the Columbia University / LSE International and World History dual degree program, where she received a FLAS Scholarship to study Chinese in Beijing. Kristen’s dissertation focused on the McMahon Line and the China-India frontier region. She is now Senior Manager of Grant Information and Administration at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
