Cindy Quach

Research Interest

Cindy Quach (she/her) is an intersectional feminist historian that aims to center oral histories and personal experiences in her research. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate education, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. In June of 2022, she received two Bachelors of Arts in history and political science. During her time at UCLA, Cindy completed a thesis focused on FEM Newsmagazine, a feminist publication that began in the 1970s. Through her research, she aimed to understand how social, political, and popular culture events have shaped the trajectory of the present-day feminist movement in the United States. 

In addition to women’s history, Cindy enjoys studying Asian American social movements, and how American neoliberalism has developed political identities. In addition, Cindy is interested in conducting research in Southeast Asian animist practices within an anti-colonial lens.

Outside of her academic interests, Cindy is rejoices in freelance styling, writing, zine-making, and community organizing.
